Restatement: editions begin with 2026-09, so there is no previous edition to restate this figure against. Twelve months earlier the panel series read 23,954,053, which is a reading of that series and not an edition: the count stands +725,057 against it, +3.0%. From the edition after this one, this line prints the change against the edition before it and names what moved.

The render call takes the value, the denominator and the date as required arguments and throws without them. A route that cannot supply all three cannot render a figure. The three machine renderings are reserved addresses and are not linked: the twin handler holds one builder, for the domain answer, so it answers 404 for a figure until it holds one for this layer. The unversioned address /figure/companies.wordpress shows the current edition and moves with the index. The dated one is meant to be frozen forever, and today it is not: there is no editions store, so both addresses recompute the value from the index when they are read, and a value read at the dated address will change when the next load lands. An edition is frozen once one job step writes it at each landing: series id, edition, value, denominator, unit, method slug and the landing date, keyed on series id and edition, written once and never updated.
